Your first reading and discussion assignment deals with a pretty large chunk of history. Starting with the end of the Medieval period in the 1500s through the Protestant Reformation in Europe, which began officially in 1517 in what today we call Germany. This may come as a surprise, but I am going to make some assumptions that most of you are familiar with European geography, as well as Europe’s history up until this time period.
