For the literature is required eight
peer-reviewed articles from nursing journals The articles should be current within the last 5 years
and closely relate to the PICOT statement developed earlier in this
course. The articles may include quantitative research, descriptive
analyses, longitudinal studies, or meta-analysis articles ( only two reviews aere allowed in the literature if any) A
systematic review may be used to provide background information for
the purpose or problem identified in the proposed capstone project.
A literature review analyzes how current research supports the
PICOT, as well as identifies what is known and what is not known in
the evidence. (please make sure the literature is correct this is very important).
The PICOT question is:
In
patients with diabetes mellitus 2, what is the effect of diet control as
compared to medication in the management of the disease given six months?
My practice is being held on a general practice medical office for patients 18 and older which pretty much is just a doctor’s office where patients come with all sort of concerns and I’m under the supervision of a nurse practitioner who is the one that sees the patients most of the time. The population visiting the clinic are mostly Hispanics and Caucasians with Hispanics being the majority. This is a change proposal and based on the topic I choosed and the setting I need the change proposal to be related to teaching, maybe proposing in-services for the employees working in the clinic so they can provide better teaching to the patients on the importance of diet management in diabetes. The practice is being held on Del Prado Medical Center https://delpradomed2500del-prado-medical-center-in…
