The purpose of this assignment is to help you begin to identify sources for your upcoming speeches (informative and persuasive) and begin to craft effective messages that accomplish your specific speaking goals.
To do this, you will craft an APA annotated bibliography complete with 10 sources. 6 of these sources must be scholarly (i.e., come from peer-reviewed journals) and the remaining 4 can be scholarly or come from well-known and respected popular sources (such as CNN, MSNBC, local news, or government entities). Unless you are using these resources to provide historical context, specifically, all sources must have been published in 2007 or after (i.e., no more than 10 years old).
An annotated bibliography is a summary of sources that evaluates the argument of those sources (note that it is not just citations; those annotations are summaries of the content).
The USF LibGuide on Citing Sources outlines the process for developing an annotated bibliography. This document should be submitted in proper APA format and as a Microsoft Word document (not pdf or pages).
