Choose ONE of the following options. You need only to complete Option A OR Option B.
Option A: Fictional short story
- Draft a short story of 3-5 pages, double-spaced. Your fictional story can be based in our lifeworld, or a storyworld of your own creation. Your story should have a main character, discernible conflict, and a plot.
- Revise your story in response to feedback from your colleagues, selecting among the feedback that most helps you achieve your storytelling goals.
Option B: Nonfictional narrative
- Write a nonfictional narrative of 3-5 pages, double-spaced. Nonfictional narratives can be stories, in that they contain narrative elements similar to fiction: well-developed characters, conflict, and a sequence of events over time.
- Revise your story in response to feedback from your colleagues, selecting among the feedback that most helps you achieve your storytelling goals.
This project is due in PARTS:
– Draft 1 due September 20 Length: 1 – 3 pages, or approximately 300 – 600 words
– Draft 2 due October 1 Length: 3 – 5 pages, or approximately 900 – 1,500 words
